Beddington Park features serene landscapes that stand out amidst urban surroundings. A spontaneous decision to visit led to discovering cherry trees planted through a UK-Japan friendship initiative. These trees, a symbol of beauty, enhance the park’s atmosphere, inviting quiet contemplation. Visitors can also enjoy a variety of birds, including parakeets and greenfinches, adding to the park's vibrant ecosystem. The experience emphasizes the unexpected joys found in nature and the peaceful escape it provides from the busy city environment.
I hadn't expected to find cherry blossoms in Wallington, of all places, but there they were, lining the path with their delicate branches, not yet fully in bloom but definitely on their way.
Beddington Park is home to all sorts of birds, like parakeets, blue tits, greenfinches. I'll be honest, I don't really like birds when they're too close to me, but from a distance, when they're swooping together, almost in sync.
