The Marlins have turned their focus to Dodgers first base coach Clayton McCullough as their new managerial candidate after their original finalists fell through.
McCullough has extensive experience in managing minor-league teams and has been with the Dodgers organization since 2015, which adds to his qualifications.
Despite interviews with more than 10 candidates, including two for in-person meetings, the Marlins did not officially offer positions to anyone until now.
Skip Schumaker, the previous Marlins manager, stepped down after two seasons to join the Texas Rangers, raising questions about the Marlins' future leadership.
