Mark Cuban's departure from Shark Tank marks the end of a significant chapter, having joined as a guest shark in season two and becoming a permanent fixture in 2012. He reflects on his 15-year journey fondly, emphasizing family time as a key reason for leaving. Cuban plans to dedicate more time to Cost Plus Drugs, his affordable pharmaceutical initiative. Fellow shark Daymond John praised Cuban's early commitment to the show, noting that his presence helped elevate it during challenging times. Cuban's final appearance is set for the season-16 finale on May 16, 2023.
"I just want to have a couple summers with my teens before they go off on their own," he told The Hollywood Reporter.
"I mean, that's just the craziest thing ever. 15 years ... it's been a good run," he said.
"If this show is helping educate and inspire America's kids and families, I'm in," Cuban said when he joined Shark Tank.
"Gonna miss it. But it was time to move on," Cuban succinctly tweeted about his departure.
