Lowry was far more efficient coming off the bench, during the regular season and to a somewhat lesser extent in the playoffs. He shot 46.6 percent from the field off the bench in 11 games, compared to 39.6 in 44 games as a starter. He shot 42.5 percent on threes off the bench during the regular season, compared with 33.3 percent as a starter.
The Heat needs Lowry to play bigger minutes because Vincent left and essentially wasn't replaced.
