Jimmy Butler, now with the Golden State Warriors, will return to Miami for the first time since his February trade. The Miami Heat will honor him with a tribute video, a tradition for former All-Stars. Butler expressed indifference about the video, stating he would watch it if it existed. He also addressed perceptions of himself as the 'bad guy' and reflected on his suspensions. While his stats remain similar between teams, the Warriors have achieved a better winning record with him compared to the Heat's recent struggles.
I think the suspensions are more because they just didn't want me to be around the team... I didn't do anything too drastic to deserve X amount of games being suspended.
I'm always painted as the bad guy. Everywhere I've been, I've always been the problem... Let everybody think that this is what happened and we'll ride with it.
Would I watch? Yeah I'd watch. If they have one, if they don't: makes no difference.
While Butler's raw numbers in Golden State have been similar to how it was in Miami, the six-time All-Star has seen far more success.
