Avianca, Colombia's largest airline, is expanding its services by launching daily flights starting May 10 between Miami and Guatemala City, as well as between Fort Lauderdale and Managua. The airlines aim to boost tourism and business connections, highlighting Guatemala's historical significance and biodiversity. The Fort Lauderdale route may address the familial needs of the Nicaraguan community—significant due to political unrest in the country. The new service, operated using Airbus A320 aircraft, is poised to meet the demands of the diverse Central American populations in Florida.
We are excited to launch this new direct route. Guatemala, located at the heart of the Mayan civilization, is a country full of history.
The Fort Lauderdale-Managua flight could fill in an important need in bringing families together.
