Las Vegas woman arrested in Miami after robbing man of $18K Rolex, cops say
Briefly

Rachel Marie Warner, a 23-year-old from Las Vegas, was arrested in Miami for allegedly drugging and stealing an $18,000 Rolex from a man in a 'bad date' scam. After meeting the man outside the East Hotel, they went to a rooftop bar for drinks, where Warner allegedly made a drink that caused him to black out. Upon waking, he discovered his valuable watch missing. Police identified Warner through surveillance footage and arrested her a month later, finding eye-drop bottles with a suspected incapacitating drug in her possession.
“The victim met Warner near the valet of the East Hotel at 788 Brickell Plaza on April 8. After chatting briefly, the two went up to Sugar, the hotel's rooftop bar, for drinks.”
“Detectives say the incident fits a growing trend they call a 'bad date' scam: women approach men wearing expensive jewelry in nightlife areas, gain their trust, then allegedly drug and rob them once they're alone.”
