What to watch for in Dolphins' joint practice with Bears
Briefly

The Miami Dolphins have been in practice for over two weeks and will compete against the Chicago Bears before continuing to Detroit for further joint sessions and exhibition games. This period is crucial for players aiming for roster spots as decisions will be made by the roster cut-down day on August 26. Coach Mike McDaniel emphasized the importance of this practice for refining techniques and fundamentals. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa noted joint practices provide different perspectives on play calling and defensive strategies.
'It's the best opportunity to give the guys a chance to make the team,' coach Mike McDaniel said. 'You get to take all the tools that you've been refining and you get to try to do responsibilities much further beyond result-based but executing techniques and fundamentals. It's invaluable.'
Starters, like quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, will see a lot more action in the joint practice setting over the next few weeks than the preseason games. 'I think they’re really cool because they give you a different perspective because there's different ways to call plays, different ways defensive guys run certain coverages and how they can get into different coverages,' Tagovailoa said.
