Sources: Dolphins trade Minkah Fitzpatrick to Jets
"The Miami Dolphins are sending Minkah Fitzpatrick to the New York Jets in exchange for the 2026 seventh-round pick from the Chargers, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Monday. The Jets will sign Fitzpatrick to a three-year, $40 million deal, agent Drew Rosenhaus told Schefter."
"Fitzpatrick, who one year remaining on his deal with Miami at $17.6 million, had 82 tackles with a forced fumble, two recoveries and an interception in 2025."
Minkah Fitzpatrick has been traded from the Miami Dolphins to the New York Jets. The Dolphins received a 2026 seventh-round pick from the Chargers in the deal. The Jets signed Fitzpatrick to a three-year contract worth $40 million. Fitzpatrick had one year remaining on his Miami contract valued at $17.6 million. During the 2025 season, Fitzpatrick recorded 82 tackles, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, and one interception for the Dolphins.
