At approximately 2:50 a.m. on Friday, Miami Dade police responded to the scene of a hit-and-run, where an adult male was struck and left dead in the street.
According to spokesperson Luis Sierra, the driver of the unknown vehicle fled the scene, and authorities have no further information about the vehicle involved.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue arrived and confirmed the man was deceased at the scene, leading to an investigation by the MDPD's Traffic Homicide Unit.
