At the Miami Gardens Economic Improvement Summit, City Manager Cameron Benson reflected on the city's evolution from perceived limited potential to ambitious development plans. Key projects include a 35-acre mixed-use development featuring residential units, a hotel, and a Formula 1 museum, slated for completion by 2027. This initiative indicates a shift towards enhancing the quality of life for residents, illustrating a commitment to economic improvement and community engagement in planning future growth. Local business owners were involved in discussions to shape this vision further, emphasizing a collaborative approach to development.

City officials rattled off current development projects for the predominantly Black city including residential units and commercial development, some of which are along NW 27th Avenue, the city's main thoroughfare.
One of the projects is a 35-acre mixed-used development, set to include 259 residential units, a 200-room hotel, and Formula 1 interactive museum.
Construction started last month and we are in our infrastructure phase, which includes site lot clearing. They completed that phase last week.
