Migrant-smuggling operation is stopped in Coral Gables, police say
Briefly

Coral Gables police officers discovered 21 individuals, believed to be migrants from China, inside a U-Haul truck after a witness reported a possible abduction.
According to authorities, the group likely arrived early Friday, dropped off by a boat along Coral Gables' waterways, prompting a marine patrol operation.
All migrants, who were adults, along with the drivers of the vehicles, were transferred to Homeland Security for further investigation into their circumstances.
Despite extensive efforts by marine patrols to identify departing vessels linked to the incident, no boats were found related to the incident.
