Juneteenth is a holiday, but not everything is closed in Miami-Dade and Broward

Government offices and courts in Miami-Dade and Broward are closed on Juneteenth. However, retail chains, malls, and big box stores like Publix and Target will remain open for commerce.
In Miami-Dade, public transit including Metrobus, Metrorail, and Metromover, as well as Broward County Transit, will run on normal schedules for Juneteenth. Tri-Rail will also operate normally.
Garbage collection will proceed as usual on Juneteenth in Miami, Hialeah, Fort Lauderdale, and Broward County. However, residents in other areas are advised to check with their municipality for any schedule changes.
For Juneteenth, post office branches will be closed and mail delivery will not take place. Banks like Wells Fargo and Bank of America will also be closed. Stock exchanges including NYSE and NASDAQ will not be operating. Libraries in Miami-Dade and Broward will be closed, except for NSU-Alvin Sherman Library in Broward, which will be open with limited hours.
