"The Miami Heat's three-game winning streak came to an end on Thursday night against the rising San Antonio Spurs to open up a four-game road trip. Now the focus will shift to securing a bounce back win against another difficult foe in the LA Lakers. LA has yet to see LeBron James take the floor this year, as the future Hall of Famer has been sidelined with a sciatica injury and isn't expected to make his season debut until mid-to-late November."
"However, their newest franchise superstar in Luka Doncic has led the way in keeping things afloat for the 4-2 Lakers. Doncic is coming off a dominant 42/12/6 statline in the Lakers' most recent win against the Memphis Grizzlies. It will likely be a defensive matchup for the Heat that sees multiple different defenders attempt to contain Doncic- including Davion Mitchell, Andrew Wiggins and maybe even Bam Adebayo."
The Miami Heat's three-game winning streak ended against the San Antonio Spurs to open a four-game road trip. The next game is on the road against the Los Angeles Lakers. LeBron James remains sidelined with sciatica and is not expected until mid-to-late November. Luka Doncic has carried Los Angeles early, producing a 42/12/6 performance in the most recent win. The Heat plan rotating defensive assignments to slow Doncic, including Davion Mitchell, Andrew Wiggins and possibly Bam Adebayo, with Norman Powell questionable. Powell missed two games with groin soreness. Tyler Herro remains out. Simone Fontecchio leads the league in three-point percentage while Kel'el Ware and Nikola Jovic have struggled offensively.
