Pearce allegedly followed Jackson's vehicle and repeatedly collided with it as she drove toward a police station. After police confrontation, he fled in his vehicle, leading officers on a chase before crashing and resisting arrest. Jackson, who plays for the Los Angeles Sparks, filed for a protective order, stating she feared for her life and alleging verbal and physical abuse. The court granted the protective order, requiring Pearce to maintain 500 feet distance from Jackson's home and workplace.
