Applications are now open for a public housing waiting list in Miami-Dade. What to know
Briefly

"We encourage all eligible individuals to apply for this vital opportunity," said Alex R. Ballina, director of Public Housing and Community Development. "Securing affordable housing can be a turning point for many families, and we remain committed to providing support through every step of the application process."
After submitting an application, you will receive a confirmation number that you should keep. Acceptance of an application doesn't automatically put you on the waiting list. Only 7,500 applications will be randomly selected.
Applications for the public housing waiting list can only be completed online until 11:59 p.m. Oct. 25 at www.miamidade.gov/publichousing. People without access to a computer or the internet can request assistance to complete the application during business hours at various county offices.
Applicants must be over 18 and meet the income requirements of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. For one person, the annual income must not exceed $63,550; for two, $72,650; for three, $81,700; for four, $90,800.
