A $1.6M Miami Ponzi scheme paid for private school, tennis lessons, nails, feds say
Briefly

According to the Securities and Exchange Commission, Dusan Varga ran a Ponzi scheme that lured $1.6 million from fellow South Florida residents of Serbian descent.
Varga consented to judgments that will require him to pay disgorgement of ill-gotten gains, prejudgment interest, and a civil penalty, with amounts determined later.
Mercedes-Benz has sued Varga and his wife as it tries to repossess a 2023 Mercedes S-Class sedan, claiming they began missing payments soon after leasing.
A month prior to the Mercedes lease, Varga and Pannon Investment stopped paying an American Express Business Gold card, demonstrating his financial turmoil.
