Kharraz emphasized, "Given the persistent increase in both healthcare costs and high-deductible plans, it's no surprise that we're seeing more patients seeking guaranteed, upfront, transparent pricing." He anticipates that this trend will increase for services such as prescriptions and longevity-focused diagnostics, as consumers push for clearer cost structures.
Regarding consumer behavior, Kharraz noted, "For example, we saw in our booking data that when patients chose to go out-of-network this year, it was largely for mental health, cosmetic treatments and dental care." This reflects a growing preference for niche cash-pay services in specific healthcare sectors.
Kharraz predicts that in 2025, Amazon may significantly restructure its healthcare assets, stating, "As a tech behemoth, it's rational to try and use your core competency to capitalize on the nearly untouched healthcare sector, despite the challenges faced by others."
