The Faculty of Engineering at Zonguldak Karaelmas University has its roots in the Mining Engineering School established in 1924. It was officially rebranded as Zonguldak Faculty of Engineering under Law No. 2809. Subsequently, Zonguldak Karaelmas University was created in 1992 by Law No. 3837, which also redefined several faculties, establishing a connection with the Rectorate.
