This Working Life: 'I enjoyed doing medicine at Trinity. It is only when you come out of it that you realise what a charmed life it is'
Briefly

Dr Cillian Keogh co-founded the Dublin City Clinic and implemented a new haemorrhoid treatment service. Four years ago Keogh and GP Fergal McNamara observed that haemorrhoids were a common clinical concern but patients were often reluctant to raise the issue. Many patients mentioned haemorrhoids only in passing as a "by the way" while leaving. Keogh balances clinic responsibilities with family life alongside his GP wife and their two children. The clinic aims to make conversations about haemorrhoids easier and to provide accessible, dedicated treatment for affected patients.

We found many only mentioned them as a "by the way", heading out the door.
