Eye doctors in Boston have started to notice a small but worrisome uptick in cases of a rare type of sudden blindness among patients taking semaglutide.
The new investigation found that people taking semaglutide, the active ingredient in Ozempic and Wegovy, appeared slightly more likely to develop NAION than other patients with obesity or diabetes.
