Steward Health Care, the largest physician-owned healthcare network in the U.S., filed for bankruptcy protection under Chapter 11, with more than $1 billion in debt, allowing operations to continue.
Steward Health Care stated that patient care will not be affected during the bankruptcy process and is negotiating a significant loan to ensure continued operations of their hospitals and medical centers.
