Adolescent referrals for severe obesity have surged tenfold since 2018, according to a leading paediatrician.
Dr. Órla Walsh has seen an alarming rise in children with chronic symptoms of disease in the last six years.
"I'm doing a medically-led complex obesity clinic and my clinic is the tip of the iceberg. It's a tertiary clinic so you have to have severe complex obesity plus two complications already."
