"I am truly honored to be named the winner of this award,"
"However, nothing in medicine and research happens without the support of strong and collaborative teams. I'd like to acknowledge our trainees, colleagues and also my family who play a key role in everything I do."
"I've been very grateful to my mentors who helped me appreciate that a better understanding of the biology of neurodegeneration is the foundation of discovering new treatments,"
"Likewise, I have been trying to inspire our trainees and faculty to participate in research or collaborate with researchers to ultimately discover new treatments for currently untreatable conditions."
Dimtri Krainc has been named the winner of the 2025 Tripartite Legacy Faculty Prize in Translational Science and Education. He chairs the Ken and Ruth Davee Department of Neurology and holds the Aaron Montgomery Ward Professorship.
