The review revealed that many women were failed after screeners underperformed and were unchecked by management for years, leading to significant health issues.
'This has been an absolute scandal from start to finish and was allowed to go on for 10 years,' said Stella McLoughlin. 'Smears being misread, people not being held to account... all of this is affecting real people.'
