Beverly Hills doctor behind penile implant is put on medical board probation
Briefly

The medical board accused Dr. James Elist of discharging patients without a clear plan for removing their sutures; discouraging them from getting follow-up care from other medical providers; and offering money to remove negative comments they posted online.
Elist will go on probation for five years, limited to 10 surgeries per week, except for emergencies. He must also record conversations for consent and take courses in ethics and communication.
His attorney stated Elist was a respected urologist who invented the penile implant, now rebranded as 'Himplant.' Elist agreed to spend more time with each patient to address concerns.
