The Institute for Nonprofit News reported a 17% growth in the number of new nonprofit newsrooms in 2022, in an annual report released this week.In absolute terms, we're talking about eight new member newsrooms for INN, including four local outlets, one state outlet, and three national newsrooms.In 2021, for comparison, INN added 57 new newsrooms as members, including 16 national or global outlets, 16 state or regional outlets, and 25 local news outlets.
