The Walrus acquired Lead Podcasting on December 4, 2025, to expand audio storytelling and The Walrus Podcasts. The Walrus Lab offers custom content and client services across formats including print, events, and podcasts. Lead Podcasting brings production expertise and a team recruited since its 2020 inception. Collaborative projects produced with partners include Sorry for Your Loss with Mount Pleasant Group, Canadian Time Machine with the Government of Canada, and From Research to Impact with the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation. The acquisition combines editorial oversight with production excellence to strengthen podcast offerings and revenue-generation capabilities.
