"SAG-AFTRA's award-winning Communications and Marketing staff create the messaging, media, audio and images that establish SAG-AFTRA as the world's most powerful institution for improving the lives of media artists."
"NOLSW is proud to stand with this team as they seek the wages, working conditions and A.I. guardrails they deserve."
SAG-AFTRA communications and marketing staff have signed unionization cards with the National Organization of Legal Services Workers, requesting voluntary recognition of their bargaining unit. This unit includes writers, magazine staff, social media teams, and more. The unionization effort coincides with the Writers Guild of America West strike, where staff are advocating for a uniform pay structure and protections against termination and AI. NOLSW president Rachel Thomas expressed support for the SAG-AFTRA team in their pursuit of better wages and working conditions.
