Conservative outlets and partisan personalities agreed to the restrictions and have begun occupying the vacated credentialed spaces. Many of the new signatories are based outside the Washington area and have not yet picked up badges, with scheduled briefings and credentialing events occurring Monday through Wednesday. Several new signees posted social-media images claiming desks formerly used by established reporters.
