Paramount+ Price Hike Coincides with UFC's Debut on Streamer
"Those price hikes have now been revealed. Starting January 15, 2025, Paramount+ will see its ad-supported version, known as Essential, increase by $1 monthly, to $8.99 per month. The ad-free version known as Paramount+ Premium also increases by a dollar, to to $13.99 per month. Yearly subscriptions will be ticking upward as well, with Paramount+ Essential costing $89.99 per year and Paramount+ Premium to $139.99 per year. Still cheaper than paying monthly, mind you."
"In the U.S., Australia, Brazil, and Latin America, Paramount+ will be the exclusive home for all UFC events, including numbered events that were previously offered on a Pay-Per-View basis. So while Paramount+ may be increasing its prices, it's still a bargain for UFC fans, given a year-long subscription of Essential is less than the cost of two UFC events traditionally."
"While the UFC's debut on Paramount+ has not been officially announced, it's expected to come in the second half of January. Per a report by MMA Junkie's Nolan King, the promotion has requested a permit to host an event at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on January 24, which is expected to be a numbered event, likely UFC 324."
Paramount+ announced subscription price increases, with Essential rising $1 to $8.99/month and Premium rising $1 to $13.99/month starting January 15, 2025, and yearly plans moving to $89.99 and $139.99. Paramount noted plans to implement price increases in the U.S. early in the first quarter of 2026 as part of ongoing investments to enhance value. Price increases will also occur in Australia and Canada. Paramount+ will be the exclusive home for all UFC events in the U.S., Australia, Brazil, and Latin America, including previously pay-per-view numbered events. A UFC event permit request for January 24 at T-Mobile Arena suggests a likely UFC 324 debut.
