Alex Crichton, a dedicated radio broadcaster, concluded his final shift as host of All Things Considered for WXXI News in Rochester, New York. Over 42 years at the station, Crichton became an integral part of the local NPR affiliate, which joined the network in 1984. Throughout his 45-year radio career, he covered sports, produced news and music programs, and began hosting All Things Considered alongside the national broadcast in 2012. While acknowledging exhaustion and missing the daily routine, Crichton expressed gratitude to listeners who tuned in throughout his tenure, describing his career as a great ride.
