Cityside is hiring an Editor-in-Chief and a Reporter for its Richmond newsroom
Briefly

Cityside Journalism Initiative, the nonprofit publisher of Berkeleyside, The Oaklandside, and East Bay Nosh, is hiring for two positions in their new Richmondside newsroom. They are looking for an Editor-in-Chief and a Reporter with a focus on providing unbiased local news and information to the residents of Richmond. The Editor-in-Chief will be responsible for guiding the newsroom, mentoring reporters, and ensuring equitable coverage. The Reporter will attend public meetings, explain local policies, and amplify community voices on important civic issues.
With that goal in mind, Cityside Journalism Initiative, the nonprofit publisher of Berkeleyside, The Oaklandside and East Bay Nosh, is excited to announce two job openings at Richmondside, our soon-to-be local newsroom dedicated to covering the city of Richmond.
Time and again, Richmonders have told us they want more independent reporting and access to information about their local government, and that is what this reporter will be focused on: attending public meetings, explaining and tracking local policies, amplifying community voices and perspectives on important civic issues, and helping people become more engaged with where they live and work.
