Superhuman has unveiled a new Auto Label feature designed to automate email categorization into predefined labels such as marketing, pitch, and social, addressing user complaints about spam. This follows a long-standing challenge in email management, notably one that Google attempted to handle with its now-defunct Inbox client. Despite enhancing the email experience, users face limitations as they cannot directly edit category prompts, requiring new prompt creation for better accuracy. Superhuman's goal is to streamline inbox management and reduce clutter, especially from cold marketing emails.
Superhuman is introducing its Auto Label feature, aimed at categorizing emails automatically into predefined sections like marketing, pitch, and social for better organization.
Rahul Vohra stated, 'One of the top things we heard from our customers is there is an increasing amount of cold emails containing marketing and spam,' leading to the development of the feature.
The drawback of the Auto Label feature at launch is the inability to modify existing category prompts, necessitating users to create entirely new ones.
Using AI to enhance email management, Superhuman's new feature looks to address long-time complaints about spam and irrelevant marketing emails cluttering users' inboxes.
