Adapting AI-generated email messages for international audiences presents significant challenges in terms of cultural nuance and natural language use. The aim was to modify existing English content to resonate in Spanish and French without losing the friendly, conversational tone. Initial attempts revealed that even grammatically correct translations could feel invasive or awkward, underscoring the need for deeper cultural understanding. The difficulty lay in training an AI model, primarily designed for English, to produce content that sounded as natural in other languages as a native marketer would.
Our first attempts fell flat. The original output in Spanish was grammatically correct but sounded invasive, suggesting we were watching the user too closely.
We aimed to adapt the AI-generated email prompt to work in Spanish and French while ensuring it didn't sound robotic, clumsy, or culturally off-base.
