Hotels.com has launched Bellboy, a new 18-inch mascot tasked with promoting the brand post-Captain Obvious. Bellboy, dressed in trendy sneakers, brings charisma and hotel tips to travelers. The marketing campaign includes social videos and TV ads, starting on his birthday, April 21, coinciding with the largest sale offering 25% discounts on hotels. Created in-house by directors specializing in puppetry, Bellboy serves as a playful guide, distinguishing his more educational role from the previous mascot's humor-focused approach.
"His personality is confident, charismatic, and knowledgeable," Koedijk told ADWEEK.
Bellboy is more than just a mascot; he's a playful guide, presenting Hotels.com as a top resource for travel tools and rewards.
The new campaign launches with Bellboy's birthday, featuring a significant sale, illustrating the brand's commitment to providing value to travelers.
After retiring Captain Obvious, Hotels.com unveiled Bellboy to shift marketing strategy and enhance customer engagement through social videos and TV ads.
