In 2025, Google aims to intensify its efforts on promoting the Gemini app, as emphasized by CEO Sundar Pichai. Recently, the company has leveraged podcast advertisements to enhance awareness and drive downloads, specifically focusing on Gemini Live. This app is gaining traction, evidenced by its high ratings and rankings in the productivity category on iOS. With robust advertising strategies, including campaigns on Apple podcasts and anticipated features, Google is working towards making Gemini a widely used first-party app, aspiring to reach 500 million users.
Over the past week or so, people have noticed 'Google Gemini' ads in some of the podcasts they listen to. In my case, both shows happen to cover Apple.
According to that report last year, CEO Sundar Pichai said 'Scaling Gemini on the consumer side will be our biggest focus next year.'
The tagline for 'Google Gemini,' is 'A tool to complement and enhance human creativity,' focusing on the product's appeal to enhance productivity uses.
Google advertising on Apple podcasts is interesting, and follows the launch of the Gemini iPhone app in November.
