After a surprise move by the House Energy and Commerce Committee this week, TikTok is now in the spotlight as Congress considers a bill that could lead to its sale in the U.S.
In the language of the bill, it is pointed out that any foreign adversary controlled application, explicitly naming TikTok, would face legal restrictions and could no longer be distributed in platforms like Apple's App Store or Google Play.
