Gary Brown: 'One summer I worked in the fish market. Nobody would sit near me on the bus on the way home'

Gary Brown, originally a marketing expert, founded Target Marketing in 1990 and later sold it to the JWT group, where he became the chairman of Target McConnells agency. Beyond his professional achievements, he has deep ties to his Dublin roots, playing for and eventually becoming chairman of Shelbourne Football Club. Brown has served on several state boards, including Bord Bia (Food Board) and Bord na gCon (Horse Racing Board). He also co-owns the popular Dublin pub Pipers Corner, where he met celebrated singer-songwriter Damien Dempsey.
