Nearly 600,000 GoveeLife and Govee smart electric space heaters are being recalled due to overheating issues, which have resulted in multiple incidents including fires and injuries.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission reported 113 incidents of overheating associated with these heaters, which included seven fire cases and one minor burn injury.
Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the recalled heaters and can contact Govee for refunds. The affected models were sold in the U.S. and Canada.
The recall affects approximately 512,500 units sold in the U.S., priced between $30 to $150, highlighting the significant risk these products pose.
