"We constantly review our media strategy to ensure it is appropriate for the needs of our business. Following a pitch review process involving several different agencies, we have re-appointed Mediacom as our media partner, as we felt their proposal best met the strategic vision for our media activity."
"It's great to be able to continue our relationship and together we will work to deliver the next exciting stage in the future of Direct Line Group."
Direct Line Group retained MediaCom to manage its £86m media planning and buying account for Direct Line, Green Flag and Churchill following a three-way pitch. MediaCom beat Aegis's Carat and MEC to win the brief. Marketing director Mark Evans oversaw the pitch and said the agency's proposal best met the strategic vision for media activity. The review was reported to form part of efforts to achieve cost reductions of around £100m. The reappointment continues the existing relationship and will focus on delivering the next stage in Direct Line Group's media strategy.
