Benjamin Sesko joined Manchester United in a deal that could reach £73.7m (€84.9m) with add-ons. He has yet to start a Premier League match, appearing only as a substitute in three league games and attempting four shots across 80 minutes. Sesko played the full 90 minutes without scoring in the EFL Cup loss to Grimsby Town. He is adapting to the higher intensity of English football while reporting progress in speed, conditioning, and football mentality in training. Sesko is with Slovenia for World Cup qualifiers and could return to face Manchester City in the derby, potentially earning his first league start.
"The level of the matches is certainly much higher, the players and teammates are also at a higher level," Sesko told Ekipa.
"After all, English football is at the highest level in the world of football. "But I am very much looking forward to the coming period, also because I am getting better and faster in every training session, and I am also progressing in my football mentality every day."
"It's an incredibly big match coming up. There will simply be some pressure on both sides to just win this match," Sesko added. "There's still quite a bit to go until this match, but we're definitely looking forward to a top-notch match."
