""two days straight.""
""I remember going into training and putting eyes drops in, chewing gum," Rooney said."
Wayne Rooney reveals he massively struggled with alcohol during his playing career and believes he would be dead without his wife Coleen's support. Rooney admitted he went too far while trying to enjoy nights out with friends and often felt unable to turn to anyone. He reported for club training after drinking for two days straight and tried to hide it with eye drops and chewing gum. Career incidents included being dropped by Sir Alex Ferguson for breaking curfew in 2011 and apologising over inappropriate images in 2016. Rooney finished as Manchester United and England's record scorer and later moved into management.
