Amass made his senior debut against Leicester City last season and featured frequently for the club’s Under-18 and Under-21 sides over the past year. Several clubs from England, Germany and the Netherlands expressed interest, but Sheffield Wednesday secured the temporary move. The decision follows a crowded defensive roster at Manchester United, and the club views a first loan spell as an ideal development opportunity. Manchester United recently exited the Carabao Cup to Grimsby Town and recorded a Premier League win over Burnley.
