Manchester United announce record revenue of 666.5m despite dismal on-pitch performance
"United endured a nightmare 2024-25 season as they recorded their worst-ever Premier League finish, ending the campaign in 15th place. They did reach the Europa League final, but a 1-0 defeat to Tottenham ensured they missed out on European football for 2025-26."
"Yet, in the year to 30 June 2025, United recorded commercial revenue of £333.3m and matchday revenue of £160.3m."
"To have generated record revenues during such a challenging year for the club demonstrates the resilience which is a hallmark of Manchester United."
"As we settle into the 2025-26 season, we are working hard to improve the club in all areas."
Manchester United posted record revenue of £666.5m in the year to 30 June 2025, driven by £333.3m in commercial revenue and £160.3m in matchday income. The club finished the 2024-25 Premier League season in its worst-ever position, 15th, and lost the Europa League final 1-0 to Tottenham, meaning no European football in 2025-26. The 2025-26 season began poorly with four points from four league games, an EFL Cup exit to fourth-tier Grimsby Town, and a 3-0 derby defeat to Manchester City. The group reported an overall loss of £33m, down from £113.2m the previous year. Chief executive Omar Berrada described the revenue as a demonstration of resilience and said the club is working to improve in all areas.
