Manchester United 'agree' first summer transfer as Andre Onana ready to 'fight' for No1 spot
"Manchester United have reportedly agreed their first deal for the summer transfer window. According to reports in Turkey, an agreement has been reached between Man United and Besiktas for the sale of goalkeeper Altay Bayindir. Fanatik claim the two clubs had a meeting this week and that Bayindir is now expected to join Besiktas when the transfer window reopens for 5million (4.3million)."
"Bayindir started the season has United's first-choice goalkeeper in the Premier League, but lost his place to summer signing Senne Lammels at the beginning of October and has not made an appearance since. A potential departure for the Turkey international would leave a void, one that Andre Onana hopes to fill."
"As per the Guardian, Onana, who is spending the season on loan at Trabzonspor, wants to fight to re-establish himself as Man Utd's No1 and believes he will be given a chance to do so. Onana has kept four clean sheets in his 20 appearances across all competitions for Trabzonspor so far, but would face a battle to dislodge Lammels."
Manchester United have reached an agreement with Turkish club Besiktas to sell goalkeeper Altay Bayindir for £5 million. The 27-year-old will join Besiktas when the transfer window reopens, with one year remaining on his contract at Old Trafford. Bayindir started the season as United's first-choice goalkeeper but lost his place to summer signing Senne Lammels in early October and has not played since. Besiktas previously attempted to sign Bayindir in January but were blocked by Manchester United. Andre Onana, currently on loan at Trabzonspor, hopes to return and compete for the number one position. Lammels has impressed significantly and received praise from Gary Neville for his potential.
