At this stage, it looks like United are now giving Martinez all the time he needs to get right, rather than rushing him back too soon and risking further problems to the affected area. This is why you have a squad. Victor Lindelof and Raphael Varane will be the first-choice pairing, though the latter has had injury issues of his own over the years. It could fall upon the shoulders of Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans.
