Leeds United signed centre-back Sebastiaan Bornauw from Wolfsburg and confirmed the departure of Junior Firpo. Bornauw is the third signing since the team won the Championship and comes on a four-year contract costing around £5.1m. This summer, Leeds also acquired Jaka Bijol from Udinese for £15m and Lukas Nmecha on a free transfer. Firpo, who had 119 appearances, left upon contract expiration after four years with Leeds, contributing significantly to their Championship win with top assists among defenders.

Six-foot-three Bornauw has penned a four-year contract at Elland Road, with the newly promoted club set to pay around £5.1m for the 26-year-old.
Earlier on Tuesday, Leeds confirmed left-back Firpo had left the club upon the expiration of his contract, four years after his arrival from Barcelona.
Firpo made a total of 119 appearances for Leeds, including 32 in the Championship last season as Farke's team beat Burnley to the title.
