Grace Clinton has signed a four-year contract with Manchester City and will wear the number six shirt. She joined Manchester United ahead of the 2022–23 season after breaking into Everton's senior team at 17. Clinton spent the following two seasons on loan at Bristol City and Tottenham, where she won the PFA Women's Young Player of the Year award. She made 28 appearances for United last season and scored nine goals, a tally bettered only by Elisabeth Terland. Clinton helped England win the European Championships in the summer and expressed excitement about joining City. Yui Hasegawa extended her contract until 2029 and Jess Park moved to United as Clinton's replacement.
