Martin Keown has voiced his opinion on Manchester United's managerial situation, proposing that the club should contemplate replacing Ruben Amorim with former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp. Following a difficult season where United finished 15th and lost the Europa League final, Keown expressed doubts about Amorim's ability to lead the team. While acknowledging that opinions are divided, he believes Klopp's extensive experience and successful track record could revitalize United. Nonetheless, some argue Amorim deserves more time to adjust, especially with the impending summer transfer window offering potential team changes.
I'm still concerned that maybe this isn't the right manager for Manchester United. Just look at the number of games they've lost. It's going to be a very interesting start to next season for them but they could do a lot worse than go and get Jurgen Klopp to manage their football club.
Klopp has enjoyed a successful career as a football manager, particularly at Liverpool, where he won the Premier League and the Champions League titles. He completely changed the standards at Liverpool and improved them and made them title challengers from being a midtable club.
While he has struggled to make an impact, there is a feeling that he deserves to get more time at the club to prove himself.
This is the first summer transfer window that he is going to get at the club and there is no better time to make changes to the team than ahead of the new season.
